Tablature (tabulation) numbers is a system of the most readable way to play the guitar instrument. By using lines and numbers to represent the strings and frets (columns in the neck of the guitar that are embedded in iron) on the guitar.
If the photo isn't clear, here's a way to read the tablature on Google Drive.
The tablature line consists of 6 lines (as shown in the picture) to represent guitar strings whose number is 6. The top line is numbered 1 to represent the bottom 1 string on the guitar. The line below is the number 2 representing the 2nd string on the guitar. Next is lines 3, 4, 5, and 6, the bottom one, if the digits of the 6th line represent the top 6 strings or commonly called the bass section.
Okay, let's learn how to read numbers and their punctuation..
In the first picture, the number 4/4 is written, which means that in each column the | . sign …. | (named bar / bar) there are 4 beats, try to learn to tap with your feet, first lift your feet and then after they touch the floor it means beat 1, then lift your feet back up and lower them back to the floor which means beat 2, the next is the same also how to tap the 3rd until the 4th tap touches the floor and that means the bar is complete 4 taps ..
Next is drawn looking at the number 3 and there is a stem ( | ) under the number, that means the ring finger of your left hand must press on the 6th fret 3 string with a duration of 1 beat, pluck the 6th string using the thumb of your right hand..
Then the punctuation mark x is the technique of slap (slap) the strings using the edge of the thumb of the right hand on strings 4, 5, 6 .. the x is attached to the stem ( - ) to the number 3 with a duration of half a beat, half a beat is the sole of the foot is on top or the ceiling ..
Next there is the number 3 again, it's the same that must be pressed on the 6th fret string 3 ... then there is the number 1 if you can see it is drawn on the 2nd line it means the index finger of the left hand must be pressed on the 2nd fret 1 string ..
Then there are numbers 3 and 3 next, that means pressing the little finger with the ring finger of the left hand pressing on the 1st fret 3 string.. after the number 3 there is a slash punctuation mark ( / ) slash, it is a slide technique or shifting the ring finger to number 5 or string 1 fret 5 ..
In the bar / time bar / column / after the | . sign there are numbers 3 and 5 that are parallel, that means the 5th fret 3 string is pressed with the index finger of the left hand and the 2nd fret 5 is pressed with the ring finger or little finger of the left hand too, pluck it together using the thumb and index finger or ring finger of the right hand, ok careful and focused huh :) .. still clumsy? Check the link here to learn less private.. in numbers 3 and 5 there is a dotted stem, that means the value of the beat is and the following stem has a little flag (there is 2) that's the value is tap.. : d next the number 3 is in 2nd fret 3rd string..
The xx mark is the same, it is slapped with the thumb or with all the fingers of the right hand for 6 strings.. after the xx sign is the number 3 and 3, the same as described above yq.. then the numbers 5 and 5 are on the 3rd string of the 5th fret which is connected by the flag line (2 - line) is worth tap .. next number 3 is located on the top line or string 1 on guitar 3rd fret ..
Next, the number 5 is pressed on the 3rd string, 5th fret, between the 5th and 4th the sign of the arc means that the tone is connected, how to play it, the number 5, the 3rd fret, and the number 4, the 3rd fret. ring finger and number 4 use the middle finger of the right hand, try to pick it right at number 5 then after the sound as soon as tap the ring finger off vertically down then the number 4 pressing with the middle finger will sound, try it ..
Well, that's how to read tabs / tablatures / tabulations of numbers, it's actually very easy compared to reading notations / musical notes which are usually studied on classical guitar.. check here for less private classical guitar.. Once you understand and understand you' ll be fast can play guitar by reading tablature..
